Step out the front door of Balvag House and all these are yours.

Wander around the arboretum, or stroll by the river. Lose yourself in the lower meadow, or take a walk along the route of the old railway. Picnic in the orchard or play hide and seek in the woods. Or simply spill out onto the generous lawns and enjoy the great outdoors.

And if you need to visit the local shop, leave the garden at the north stile, cross the footbridge, and you are nearly there.
