_Balvag House

Walking. Cycling. Fishing. Canoeing.
Or simply sitting doing nothing?

Balvag House offers half a kilometre of trout fishing on the Balvag River which borders the grounds. This river - which means quiet waters - is also excellent for canoeing.

The house lies adjacent to Sustrans Cycle Route 7. Callander, nine miles to the south, can be reached almost entirely off-road, and to the north the route takes in Balquhidder and Killin.

The watersports centre at Lochearnhead is a fifteen-minute drive.

For walkers there is easy access to Loch Lubnaig or Ben Shean (572m) from the house.

More challenging walks within a short drive include Ben Ledi (879m) and Ben Vorlich (at 984m, a Munro!).
